I do think it sucks for the players who actually play and don't want an unfair playing field, but lets not pretend there was ever a time when the game wasn't plagued by P2W. So I think NC and other companies realized ppl are gonna P2W regardless of any rules they set, so they might as well take a cut and make it official. Even on a private L1 server I found a few years ago, after awhile I discovered ppl are buying adena from sweatshops!
I remember people paying hundreds of $$ for Adena and hard-to-find items. my friend sold his char with TOI charm and all gear for $1800 when he quit around 2005 from LoA. Even the original Lineage 1 was pay-to-win. I don't know yet how I feel about the P2W-ification of these games.
